Get into the swing of spring!
Now is the time to prepare your lawn for the summer growing season. The first thing you should do is to de-thatch &/or aerate your lawn. If you use a 4-step Lawn program now is the time (March-April) to apply the first step. Make sure that you have done all your raking prior to putting down Step1 because the crabgrass preventer creates a vapor barrier that should not be disturbed. If you plan to start grass seed before fall and want to use a 4-Step program you need to puchase Step 1 for seeding we carry it from Scotts. It is also time to put down grub control. Grubs are the pupil stage of the Japanese Beetle and cause dammage to the root system of your lawn.
