About Us

Who We Are

Bob's storefront in the Early Days

Bob’s Garden Center remains a family-owned business as daughters Sandy Noten-Heuman and Jackie Noten-Hudson took over the business in 2018. Bob's continues to be a strong presence in the community by going beyond providing plants and garden advice. Bringing together those with common interests and a love of all things nature, you can find craft kits, giveaway videos, educational classes, and kids events through the Little Sprouts Club.

What We Sell

Bob's nursery the Early Days

Everything! We carry houseplants and home decor year-round, along with seasonal decor for the holidays. In the springtime, we have 5 acres of retail space filled with annuals, perennials, flowers, shrubs, trees, patio, decor, lawn supplies. Many of our flowers are homegrown in our own greenhouses! When you shop at Bob’s you’ re not just shopping locally, you’ re shopping locally grown! Recently, we have partnered with local businesses to help our shoppers support our community! At Bob’s, you can find local products like Busy Bees NJ honey from Cape May, L.E.H. Soap from Little Egg Harbor, art from local artists like Amanda Killinger at Silent Art Island, and other rotating items.

How We Give Back

One of our most popular events is our annual bus trip to the Philly Flower Show benefiting the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia. We have also partnered with C.R.O.P.S., a local non-profit encouraging urban farming in Atlantic City! As a partner, we have donated vegetable starters, soil, tools and equipment, and money to help youths and adults form a love of gardening, nature, and the outdoors!

And for those of you who don’t follow Nor’ Easter Nick yet, you should! Bob’s Garden Center is a proud sponsor of the Nor’ Easter Nick pollen forecast, as weather and gardening are so closely related! Know of a local business you think would be a great fit for us to partner with? Reach out to us at marketing@bobsgardencenter.com!
